Dr. Truth Robinson is a Doctor of Chinese Medicine (UTS, 2014) with 12 years of clinical experience across some of Australia’s most respected integrative health practices. He is a registered Acupuncturist, Chinese Herbalist and Neuro Emotional Technique practitioner.
Specialising in musculoskeletal medicine, Dr. Truth trained extensively under osteopath David Legg and renowned motor point specialist Dr. Richard Hazel — developing a uniquely comprehensive approach to pain, injury and physical rehabilitation that combines the precision of Western sports medicine with the depth of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
After founding and directing Akasha Integrative Health in Manly, NSW — one of Sydney’s most respected integrative clinics — for 5 years, Dr. Truth relocated to the Northern Rivers. He now practices at Ascend Acupuncture in both Byron Bay and Lennox Head.

Clinical Training
Doctor of Chinese Medicine, Bachelor of Health Science — University of Technology Sydney (2014). Trained under osteopath David Legg in trigger point therapy and Dr. Richard Hazel in motor point needling and electrostimulation — two of Australia’s leading musculoskeletal specialists.
Integrative Modalities
Registered Acupuncturist and Chinese Herbalist. Certified Neuro Emotional Technique (NET) practitioner. Advanced motor point and trigger point needling via electrostimulation. 60W Class IV High Intensity Laser Therapy. 12 years clinical practice across musculoskeletal, emotional and systemic conditions.
Yoga & Mind-Body
Yoga teacher since 2008. Completed a 2-year, 1,500+ hour Diploma of Satyananda Yoga Teaching (2011). Yin Yoga trained with Bernie Clark and Jo Phee, foremost students of Paul Grilley. Master Yin Yoga Teacher Trainer. 10 years teaching with Duncan Peak at Power Living Australia.
A life dedicated
to the healing arts
Truth has been living and breathing yoga since he discovered it in 2001 — always ensuring to live yoga off the mat as well as on it. Growing up with a keen Buddhist meditator father, he was inspired to undertake his first of many 10-day silent meditation retreats, which created a conscious shift in all aspects of his life.
His yoga journey began with Ashtanga in Brighton and Edinburgh, UK, before spending significant time studying Agama Tantric Yoga in Thailand, Sivananda Yoga in India, and Iyengar Yoga — eventually settling into Satyananda Yoga of the Bihar School, the world’s first Yoga University.
In 2011 he completed a 2-year, 1,500+ hour Diploma of Satyananda Yoga Teaching — diving deeply into pranayama, chanting, bandhas, meditation and philosophy. He has since developed a unique style of Yin yoga theory rooted in the Huang Di Nei Jing (Yellow Emperor’s Classic).
