Neck & Shoulder Pain
One of the most common musculoskeletal complaints — often involving trigger points, muscle inhibition and referred pain patterns.

Neck and shoulder pain is extremely common, especially in people who spend long hours at desks, use phones frequently, or carry stress in the upper body. It often involves a combination of tight muscles, active trigger points, inhibited stabilising muscles, and poor posture. When left unaddressed, these issues can create a self-perpetuating cycle of pain, tension, and restricted movement that many conventional treatments struggle to fully resolve.
Our approach to neck & shoulder pain
Trigger Point & Dry Needling
Trigger points in muscles such as the upper trapezius, levator scapulae and suboccipitals are a frequent source of neck and shoulder pain and can refer pain into the head and arms. Dry needling has shown to be effective in deactivating these points, helping to interrupt the pain-tension cycle that often persists despite massage or stretching.
Motor Point Needling with Electrostimulation
Chronic neck and shoulder issues frequently involve inhibited or poorly firing muscles. Motor point needling combined with gentle electrostimulation may be highly beneficial for resetting neuromuscular communication, improving muscle activation patterns and providing longer-lasting relief than manual therapies alone.
60W High Intensity Laser Therapy
When deep inflammation or restricted tissue healing is present, our 60W Class IV laser can penetrate to depths that support cellular repair and reduce inflammation. It has shown promise in accelerating recovery in stubborn cases where other treatments have provided only partial improvement.
What to expect
Many patients notice a reduction in pain intensity and improved range of motion within the first few sessions. The number of treatments required varies depending on how long the issue has been present and individual factors. Dr. Truth will provide a personalised assessment and realistic expectations during your initial consultation.
